Dr. Blackmon is a board-certified and licensed acupuncturist specializing in orthopedics, sports medicine, integrative pain management, and neurological rehabilitation. With a strong foundation in both Western and Eastern medicine, he takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to patient care, integrating Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and adjunct therapies to optimize healing and recovery.

He earned his Doctorate in Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Forensic Science from George Mason University, where he performed novel bacteriophage therapy research in conjunction with Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Dr. Blackmon is nationally board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed to practice in Virginia and Maryland. He has also completed advanced certifications in Oncology Acupuncture (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center) and Korean Integrative Medicine (Kyung Hee University Medical Center).
